The complexities of the third place
There’s an idea I’ve long talked about – that everyone should have a third place to go to; after home and work, it’s that place where you connect with others, enjoy hobbies or meaning making, etc. And I’ve often talked about how church is a third place.
Which is healthy.
And.
The post this week was inspired by colleagues who say that the people most resistant to change and most likely to cause conflict are those for whom their only third place is the church.
